Cookie Policy

This document describes exactly what doko.pl stores in your browser, what for and for how long. The list below matches what the site's code actually does, rather than what such policies usually contain by default.
Who operates the site
The site is operated by DOKO Sp. z o.o., ul. Lidzbarska 2, 87-300 Brodnica, Poland, which also stores and reads the files on your device. Privacy contact: info@doko.pl.
What cookies and browser storage are
Cookies are small text files a site saves in your browser and sends back to the server with later requests. Alongside them, browsers offer local storage (localStorage) and session storage (sessionStorage), which work in a similar way except that the data stays on your device and is not sent to the server. We describe both here, because from a privacy point of view the difference is technical rather than practical.
What exactly we store
The complete list. Apart from the entries below, the site stores nothing in your browser.
Remembers the language version you are viewing, so that opening another page does not send you back to Polish.
How long: Until you close the browser. It is a session cookie with no expiry date.
The list of products added to your quote request, so that it survives moving between pages.
How long: Until you clear the list or clear your browser data.
Remembers your choice from the cookie notice, including whether you consented to visit statistics, so that we do not ask on every visit.
How long: Until you clear your browser data.
Remember which event announcements you have dismissed and which have already been shown in the current session.
How long: Dismissed announcements until you clear browser data, session ones until you close the tab.
Protects the contact form and the quote request against automated spam. The script comes from Cloudflare, Inc., which processes your IP address and technical browser information for this purpose and may store its own files needed to run the check.
How long: As defined by Cloudflare in its own documentation.
Keeps the session after signing in to the content panel. It applies only to people managing the site's content and is never created by ordinary browsing.
How long: Until sign-out or session expiry.
Visit statistics: they distinguish a returning visitor from a new one and show which pages are read. They are created ONLY after consent. Without it the Google Tag Manager script is not loaded at all, so none of these files are created. The controller is Google Ireland Limited.
How long: Up to two years, per Google Analytics settings. You can delete them by clearing site data in your browser.
What we do not do
We state this plainly, because template policies usually declare the opposite:
- We do not measure traffic without your consent. We keep visit statistics in Google Analytics, but without consent the Google Tag Manager script is not loaded, so no file is created.
- We show no ads and use no ad networks. There is no Meta pixel and no remarketing tag here.
- We do not profile you and do not share data about your behaviour. We build no profile of your interests and pass no such information to third parties.
Consent and legal basis
Items one through six are essential to the operation of the site or to an action you asked for yourself: changing language, collecting a quote request, sending the form and protecting it from spam. Storing such data and accessing it does not require consent. Visit statistics, the last item, do require consent, which is why we ask for it in the notice at the bottom of the screen. Refusing limits nothing on the site, and you can change your choice by clearing site data in your browser.
How to delete or block it
Every browser lets you review, delete and block cookies and site data. You will find this in the browser's privacy settings, usually under "Cookies and site data". You can also browse in a private window, in which case the browser removes everything once you close it.
Blocking this data will not cut you off from the content, but the site will stop remembering your language, your quote request list will disappear on every page change, and forms may stop sending, because the anti-spam check will be unable to run.

Changes to this document
If the scope of what we store in your browser changes, this page and the update date at the top will change with it. The date refers to the content of the document, not to the day the site was last deployed.
